Skin tone icing color palette and the formulas you need to recreate them!  I used Chefmaster brand food coloring for all of these formulas. When I make different colors with the same ratios (like the 1st and 2nd or 3rd and 5th colors above), I usually make the darkest color first. Then I add some of the darker colored icing into a bowl of fresh white icing to make a lighter version of the same icing. When I make very light or pale icing colors, I mix the food coloring into a very small amount of icing (2 tablespoons) first and then use that saturated icing to color the rest of my icing. Let me just tell you a little story about a very special Easter Egg Hunt. Our story begins a long time ago in an age called "March." You may have heard of it. It was a very cold time when people bundled up before checking the mail and some despaired of ever seeing the sun again. There lived a mother who desperately tried to be patient on a daily basis, but more often failed than succeeded. She had four young children and no fairy godmother. Or fairy aunt. All she had were fairy Cadbury eggs.

It seems like graduation just sneaks up on me every year. I mean...one day it's snowing 12 inches and then just a couple of weeks later...everyone is being all grown up and graduating and moving on to all the amazing things they are going to do with their lives. And then it's summer.  And I'm terrified I'm going to wake up and it will be Halloween and my kids won't have any costumes so I'll have to run out to find something at the very last minute, only every thing good is already gone and when I look around everyone is staring at me with their judging eyes because I clearly don't love my children enough to plan ahead. So my children will end up wearing black fabric across their shoulders while pretending to fly around like bats. Again. Luckily, I always have enough chocolate on hand to sustain a small brigade of mothers and children for roughly a month...so at least I won't have to worry about the trick-or-treaters.... as long as I can find s...

Remember last year? I had just moved back to the good old US of A and had nearly zero belongings. My household furnishings consisted of a card table, 2 folding chairs, and a pot. I slept on a blanket on the floor and used my cell phone as an alarm clock, night light, and emergency weapon at 3 in the morning when my neighbor's cat knocked over a bucket in their backyard. I was making cookies with a grocery bag full of cutters my aunt had loaned me and some Ziplock bags. (As it turns out... more than a year later...I still haven't returned those cutters.
