How to Make Caramel and Chocolate Covered Pretzel Rods

Whip up a fun Valentine's Day treats with caramel and chocolate covered pretzel rods!

Last night I dreamed that I was in the middle of a zombie apocalypse while watching a private Cirque Du Soleil performance in an opera house. I'm not really sure if it's a commentary on all the late nights (early mornings) I've been putting in lately or a result of the panic I feel at trying to comprehend how all the tiny little plastic pieces are supposed to fit together to create my son's Cub Scout Space Derby rocket.

I woke up to the sound of my children screaming because someone had poured the last bowl of the "favorite" cereal and everyone else was being forced to eat the "second favorite" cereal. It escalated into "I hate you's" and "Fine! I guess I'll never eat breakfast ever again" followed by a round of floor sobbing before quickly dissolving into door slamming and senseless stomping.

At that point, there was really nothing left to do but eat caramel and chocolate covered pretzels for breakfast. I mean... **I'M** certainly not going to waste my time on the "second favorite" cereal. Especially not after my daughter informed me that it could ruin your life. I'm just not willing to take that kind of chance at 7:30 in the morning. I like my life. I don't want it ruined. So...you know, THANK GOODNESS for these delicious pretzels...crisis averted.

I know I usually post all cookies all the time over here at the LilaLoa channel...but these really are the most amazingly delicious things that have ever come out of my kitchen and I'm at least 72% certain they will not ruin your life. And if that doesn't convince you...you get to see my actual face while I tell you how to make them! (As it turns out, I'm not an 80 year old creeper man after all.)
