SURPRISE! My blog is all different and stuff. I kind of feel bad that I just switched everything up on you without giving you time to adjust. It was so hard to keep it a secret. And I didn't like it. Now I feel like I have to tell you a secret just to make up for it. So...
I like foaming soap. Like, LOVE foaming soap. I think the person that invented it is just brilliant. I would like to make them cookies. How did people with children get along before foaming soap came into this world? Seriously, I love it so much that I may or may not have taken some with me when I moved across the world. Just in case they didn't have any there. (They do.)
You know what else? I'm a "non-outliner." I just can't handle adding one extra step to cookies. I probably could if I tried. But I just don't want to. It makes cookies like these a little easier actually. But then...the addition of 9 jillion colors sure doesn't help on the clean up end of things.
And I like candy. I'm going to be completely honest with you here and let you know that I used jelly beans in this picture just so my four year old and I could eat them. And then wash our sticky jelly bean hands with foaming soap.

wow..without outline your cookies are so neat! I have to try without outline one of these days too! I don't like candy but i do like chocolate..i have them everyday..:P
They're very cute cookies.
And foaming soap? It is cool. But I wanna install one of those motion detection soap dispensers you just pass your hand under and it squishes out some foamy soap. Seriously. And an auto faucet like that, too.
Hmmm...look what you started. Now I have to go google them and see how expensive they are! All because of you and your new, colorful, blog makeover. :o)
LOVE the new look! Your cookies are amazing, especially sans outlining.
Absolutely AMAZING!!! I am a non-outliner too. Were rebels! I did a whole set that way last night =)! Gorgeous pics!
Love these cookies! I never tried that technique. Do you pipe every other color, let it dry and go back in and pipe the remaining stripes? I think Chapix Cookies does her soccerballs that way...Someone should do a tutorial because I dying to know! :o)
Love your new blog layout! Mine needs a makeover too!
I love the new look of your blog and I love love love these cookies! They look wonderful!
super duper cute eggs!! So colorful and fun, especially surrounded by jelly beans!! great work :)
These are so pretty. They didn't look like royal icing at first. I don't like the extra step of outlining either. Too much time/effort.

I THINK I am a non outliner too...although I am not exactly sure what you mean by that, lol. Do you mean that you don't do an outline and THEN go back and fill, because that is what I do. One consistency for everything for me and I use bottles for about 90% of my cookies.
Love these festive eggs, no bleeding...now that is hard to do!
I don't have a lot to say about foam soap, but I have never met a candy I didn't like ;-)
Love your new blog look too...matches the eggs you made the other day~
I LOVE these! They look like Dr. Seuss Easter eggs. I may just have to borrow your design. We are severely lacking in cookies at the present time at our house. :)
Hmmm, I would like to try the whole skip the outline..
but in the meantime, try adding a little water to your handsoap, mix well, that will make it foamy...the inventor was clearly someone stretching a dollar, so why is it so expensive?
Those cookies are very cute! And I love your new blog design.
I love your jelly bean colored eggs! SO pretty and eye-catching! I also love your new look:) My blog needs revamping badly!
LOL - I just STARTED outlining because it seemed like everyone else was! Whew - nice to know I can go back - I don't really like the extra step either :)
Cute cookies, love the colors!
What a fun post!!! I LOVED it and was giggling about the foamy soap. Your cookies are absolutely beautiful with all those fun colors. I don't know how you got the colors to not bleed and not run without outlining. They are so beautiful. Thanks for sharing and I love your new blog!
Those cookies are great- I love all the colors together like that!
And have to say I also love foaming soap. Recently though I've had a hard time finding non antibacterial foaming soaps and have had to made my own. I use regular soap thinned down with about 30%-40% water then refill the foaming soap container- works like a charm. I was so surprised to find that it's exactly the same as the foaming soap you buy.
BEAUTIFUL!!!! I love all the colors and I love your new blog look too! I made marshmallow fondant for the first time. It was a hit, who knows where things could go from there - LOL!
Hugs- Glora
These look amazing! I didn't know you could ice cookies without outlining I may have to try it. How thick is the icing you used? I would love a tutorial for these.
These are absolutely amazing. WOW
I love the colors you chose and the way each cookie has its own charm. Beautiful work Georganne.
Btw. I'm sorry I didn't get back to you. Your cutter made it to me and it is totally awesome, I haven't used it yet, but as soon as I get a chance I'll post photos. Thank you!!!
I love these so much. I am going to have to try them!
Foaming soap, candy and gorgeous colourful cookies, I'm with you I love them too.
These cookies are so fun!!!! Love it. I think I am going to have to give them a try!!!!!
"LIKE" the new colors *;)
Cute eggs!...got to try the "no outlining"
oh my word, these are fantastic!! Love love the colors!!! So festive!!

Okay...confessions....I also hate outlining...I've been trying it recently, because it seems like everyone is doing it (gotta love peer pressure), but I really don't enjoy it. I end up trying to cover the outline with the flood....silly I know. Glad to know there are other freeform flooders out there!!!
Love the new background!
FIrst, love the Easter eggs. They are so fun! Second, LOVE the new look to the blog! It kind of matches your stencil cookies. And of course you used my favorite color. :) I need to have someone redo my blog. lol
Pam
Love love love the eggs but regarding the change up on the blog....it's nice but gotta say I miss the whole rich chocolately theme you had going there. Just keep making chocolate cookies and I'm sure I'll come to adjust to the change :)
And again...the eggs....keeper idea!!!
these are so bright and colorful - LOVE them!
I bow to your talent (figuratively speaking because if I were to actually bow my forehead would hit my computer desk and that would not be awesome) and sit here wondering if a simpleton-baker such as myself should even attempt it... for example what kind of icing did you use? Do you use fondant for cookies? Could you use butter-cream and it would work ok, but not dry shiny? My sister in law always makes Easter cookies and Christmas cookies and I am always wishing I did...
**sigh** Woah, sorry about that. Apparently I have some unresolved cookie/baking/talent issues...
Back to your talent: LOVE THESE COOKIES!
Those are gorgeous! The lines, the colours, the motion...all perfection. Bravo!
PS: Foaming soap...even if they didn't have it there, you can refill the foaming bottle with about 1/3 liquid soap and 2/3 water, give it a gentle shake to mix without sudsing up in there, voila, more foaming soap at a fraction of the cost, plus reusing the bottle. Win-win.
When flooding small areas (like the stripes in your gorgeous eggs), do you ever get dents or craters in your icing once it dries? I have been struggling with this for quite some time and have searched the Internet (Sweetopia has an article about this) but I can’t find an answer.
Andrea -- I made these cookies with royal icing. I usually use either royal icing or fondant. There are people who use buttcream and make beautiful cookies with it. I think that a person gets good at using what they use often. And you should totally try these cookie! Everyone will love the bright colors and they won't even notice anything that YOU think is an "imperfection."
Jill -- YES. Dents and craters. So depressing. I think it happens to everyone. But only sometimes -- and that's what so hard about them. The only thing I do that I THINK helps, is when I pipe a small area that is crater prone, I take a toothpick and kind of swirl inside that tiny area, hoping to remove the bubble if there is one. My personal theory is that the space is so small that the icing meets on top before it meets on the bottom and creates a bubble which later turns into a crater. It seems to help, but it could just be my imagination.
Lovely. It reminds me of the Dr. Suess book, "Oh, the Places You'll Go." Very creative!
Thanks, Lila Loa, for your input on the dreaded craters. I'm going to try the toothpick "swirl" technique and cross my fingers!!!
The colours are so beautiful! I wish I had your patience with cookie decorating!
These cookies are so bright and gorgeous! LOVE the multi colors used. I am excited to have found your blog and I have just become a new follower. Now if only I could bake like you. I will have to pass along your blog link to my sister who stole all of the baking talent in the family. :0) She has a fun cake blog that you should check out if you get a chance, cakesbyjyl.blogspot.com.
Love your blog,

Your cookies are gorgeous! And thank you for sharing your secret that you don't outline. I just recently tried cookie-decorating for the first time, and the outlining part seemed like an extra and unnecessary step (and I don't have a steady hand so it didn't turn out very pretty). Next time, I'll try not outlining. :)
