This does NOT look like an egg.

I was going to make some Easter egg cookies. I meant to. I really did. I rolled out the cookie dough...I got out the egg cutter...and then...I couldn't stop thinking about those chicky cookies I made. I have a problem. My cookies did not come out looking like Easter eggs at all....

For the record...I would definitely NOT recommend trying to make rabbits out of the egg cutter.

I could totally see you publishing a cookie decorating book done all in the form of cookie comics.

I love, adore, am enraptured by, enamored of, in awe by these little treasures! ♥♥♥

This is perhaps a question that will truly show my nievety about all things cookie BUT: How did you get the hair for the chickie and ears for the lambie on an EGG cutter?

m'kay? Thanks!

Andrea-- I cut out the hair for the chicky free-hand with a knife. For the lamb ears, I cut out a flower and pulled apart the petals. Then I wet the edges of the unbaked egg cookie and the pieces I want to attach. I press them gently together and then bake. They fuse together in the oven. The possibilities are endless.... :)

OK, I guess I'm really new an inexperienced in this cookie decorating business, how on earth do you do that bubble effect on the sheep?

Aurora mama de Jordan --

Its a bunch of piped dots. I did them in 3-4 layers, letting each layer dry before adding another layer. I will probably be doing a tutorial on this later this week!
